GAMEDAY IS COMING!

ESPN decided to make my birthday weekend even better by bring College Gameday for Saturday's game against Georgia! Billy Currington also has a pregame concert. Can we say best weekend ever?!? Hopefully the Gamecocks pull out a big win as a great birthday present to me :)

Here are some pictures from the last time gameday came to Columbia and we beat the #1 ranked Alabama. (Stephen Garcia was a gem in this game, I still do have my obsession with him)

Now I have to find a super awesome outfit to wear next weekend!

A Saturday in the South

A Saturday in the South is like no other, especially at a SEC school. This week Mizzou came to town and we had a great game. It was also parents weekend, so we had some family friends in town. I believe this was the best tailgate we've ever had. We decided to save some of the food until after the game to post game tailgate.

Cornhole board that my dad made! and mom painted! They look so good.

Jello Shots

Burlap football I made my mom for her birthday this summer
Mom went all out with the decorations this week
"Garnet" Velvet cookies :) Team spirit!
 Chicken and steak skewers
Best Mascot in College Football (I might be a bit biased ;))
DJ was suspended this week for a hit he took last week, being supportive and pumping up teammates
 Post game grilling
Post game tailgating

These are our friends we met in Mexico 2 summers ago and now lifelong friends

It was a great day, a long day, but so fun! We travel to Kentucky this weekend. I'm sitting this once out but I will be watching from home. 2 weeks from now is the Georgia game, so excited. A victory would be a great birthday present for my dad and I :)

Crafts on Crafts on Crafts

I've been loving crafting lately. Like I make something new everyday. I want to show you some of the crafting I've been up to AND where I do my crafting. Upstairs there is a tiny little room that I thought would be perfect for a little office and place to craft. I also had a lot of USC stuff that needed a room to go in, so I joined the two together. Here are some pictures.

Love these tins from the dollar section of Target
So proud of my back to back baseball National Champs!

Cute box my mom made that I keep craft supplies in. We also have one for tailgating.

Storage room attached to the room. I keep a lot of craft supplies in here too. And decorations and oh so much more.

I love this room and all the creativity that comes with it and the fact I get to hang out in a room with so much school pride :) I'm waiting for the football team to do something super awesome so I can get that framed and up on the wall. Now on to the crafts.

I get most of my ideas from Pinterest.

Fall wreath for the front door.

Fall flowers for the kitchen table

Halloween sign

Tied together.

Here is the tutorial for the BOO sign. It was super easy and I plan on making more for other occasions. I have some more fall ideas in the works that I am super excited about. Hopefully I will get those started and finished in the next week weeks.

May Book

I love planning. I love scheduling. I love doing it on paper. People tell me to catch up with the times and use my iphone, but I never will. I have to have a planner and it has to be cute! A friend had told me about May Books a while ago, so when Groupon offered a deal on them, I snagged it up, through Ebates of course to get some cash back. (If you don't know what Ebates is, it's a website where you get cash back for shopping online. I use it to justify my spending :)) I went ahead and got my planner for January 2013, so I are super prepared! Here are some pictures.

I cannot wait to start using it. Go get your own May Book at maybooks.com! You can design your own cover and inside. I'm loving chevron these days, as you can tell by the planner and blog background. Wait until you see pictures of my new curtains. Pictures will be up next week sometime (hopefully). Couch and chairs arrived today, now I just need to arrange it, which will probably take 28598324 different tries. Wish me luck!

Firsts

First house update and first home football game!

My pantry is finally done! No more everything sitting all over my kitchen and dining area. The house came with those gross wire shelves that are not suitable for a pantry, no one wants their food falling between the wires. Here are before and after pictures.

Before

I love the rods to be able to slide cookie sheets and baking pans in. More house updates soon. It is slowly but surely getting there. Still waiting on my living room furniture though.

First home game was this weekend. I was sick but the loyal fan I am still went and cheered on the Gamecocks to a 48-10 victory over ECU. Tailgating was limited due to whatever is was that took over my body but we did enjoy a tailgate brunch. I did get two pictures at the stadium. The awesome new videoboard and a touchdown, since my new seats are super awesome and close, as apposed to the student section. Looking forward to our night game this week and hopefully some cooler weather.

Hey yall!

I'm Ashley.
I'm sassy. I'm southern. And both of those show all of the time.
I love the Lord. I love my church. I love the kids and families that go there.
I love Carolina football and baseball. Carolina Gamecocks that is.
I have big dreams in life.

I just bought a house, so I will show that transformation (which is still in progress BTW), my crafts, my baking, my travels, my friends, my dreams, my life. Enjoy!

First up- my trip to Nashville to see the college football opener, some SEC football and my Gamecocks!

Carolina won, it wasn't pretty, but they won 17-13.

My sweet friend Amanda lives outside of Nashville so we got to hang out, catch up and cheer on our team.

Can't wait to see the Gamecocks play at home this weekend at Williams-Brice Stadium.

xoxo

P.S. Go listen to Darius Rucker's new song True Believers. I can't stop listening to it!
